Rapiscan Selected by the World Trade Center to
Provide Cargo and Parcel Screening.
Rapiscan was awarded a contract from the
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to design, build and operate a
comprehensive screening operation for the new World Trade Center. The new World
Trade Center will utilize Rapiscan’s Eagle series of high-energy cargo
inspection equipment, which use Rapiscan’s proprietary transmission X-ray
technology to detect potential threats. Given the sensitivity around the
rebuilding of the World Trade Center, Rapiscan is honored to provide security
screening operations from construction through official operation.
London 2012 Olympic
Rapiscan is the only supplier to provide the
Rapiscan is responsible for the security
equipments for London 2012 Olympic. Rapiscan is in full preparation mode to
safeguard the Olympic Park and 34 other competition venues across the U.K.
Security levels will be similar to those seen at Heathrow or Gatwick airport. A
typical entrance point at the Olympics will comprise of two walkthrough metal
detectors and two x-ray machines – all featuring throughput levels that will
keep checkpoints from becoming long (and potentially dangerous) queues.
The Mobile Sea Cargo Inspection Systems are located in Keelung, Taichung and Kaohsiung ports for Directorate General of Customs, Ministry of Finance, which have achieved efficient security inspection at Taiwan sea ports.
